Ingredients required to make Dal Fry Recipe:-

  • Arhar dal (one cup)
  • Cumin (½ teaspoon)
  • Ginger (make a paste of half inch piece)
  • Onion ( 1 chopped )
  • Green chili (2 finely chopped)
  • Garlic (2 buds)
  • Coriander powder (half a teaspoon)
  • Garam Masala (half a teaspoon)
  • Lemon juice (2 teaspoons)
  • Coriander (2 tablespoons finely chopped)
  • Tomatoes (2 chopped)
  • Turmeric (half a teaspoon)
  • Red chilli powder (one fourth teaspoon)
  • Salt (according to your taste)
  • Oil (2 teaspoons)

Method of making Dal Fry Recipe:-

  • First, wash and clean the Arhar lentils, now put them in a pressure cooker, and pour 2 cups of water, salt, turmeric, and cover it.
  • Now let it wait for 3 to 4 whistles.
  • Take a pan and add oil into the pan, when the oil is heated then add cumin seeds and fry the cumin seeds till the seeds get crackled.
  • Now add chopped onion, and fry it for a moment then add ginger paste, garlic paste, and then fry till it turn into golden brown.
  • Then add chopped green chillies, red chili powder, tomatoes, garam masala and mix it properly, and cook the tomatoes till the tomatoes become pulpy.
  • Now turn the pressure cooker lentils in it and stir with a spoon until it comes to a boil.
  • Now add chopped coriander and lemon juice and turn off the gas.
  • Your Dal Fry Recipe is ready. Now serve it with roti or rice and enjoy the taste.
